I had the honor of meeting Sue only once, but what I remember the most was how damn funny she was! Her quick wit is a family trait shared with her sister Robyn. I also remember her laugh, she had a full, great laugh.
I know she will be so missed. My condolences to the family.

My son, Eric, was lucky to have Mrs. Decina as his 5th grade teacher. He looked forward to going to school every day, and appreciated you both sharing your love of the Yankees. Thank you for your enthusiasm and passion, and for being a strong role model for him. You left a lasting impression on us all.
Prayers and heartfelt condolences to your family on their unimaginable loss.<3

Loved every day teaching with you at Dickinson. Your students were blessed to have you as their teacher. No one brought the enthusiasm, love, and smile to the classroom like you. Never forget the cruise in DC when you danced and won the free trip. One of a kind!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My favorite memory of Sue will always be the last game of the Levittown Tornadoes spring soccer season 2018. I had not been able to see Sue most of the fall season nor all of spring season because she was too sick to come to the games and Maddie missed some games that spring season too. But we communicated often via text. On the day of the last game I was so happy to see Maddie because it was her last game playing for the Tornadoes and my last game coaching. Maddie played the absolute BEST game of her life, making moves, making runs down the sideline and running so fast and she finished the game scoring 2 goals!!!!! I was so happy for Maddie and even happier when I got to the top of the hill at Pelini field and saw Sue standing there! She was always so supportive of Maddie and she saw Maddie played that amazing game! ⚽️ We hugged for a while and I thanked Sue for allowing me the privilege of coaching Maddie and for the honor of being her friend❤️❤️❤️

While I did not have the good fortune to meet Sue, I felt as if I knew her through her sister, Robyn. She was a fighter and an inspiration. Robyn loved and admired Sue very much and has always lit up when she talked about her. She shared the video from Jami’s wedding where the two of them sang. Their bond was very apparent and truly special. We are sending much love and prayers to the entire family during this most heartbreaking time. May God bless you, give you strength and enable much peace.

I worked with Sue when she was a teacher at Dickinson Avenue School. She was a one-of-a-kind educator, person, and friend. I will always remember her and I being pregnant at the same time and sharing stories of our journey. My heart aches for all of her friends and family. I hope you are all able to find some comfort and peace during this most difficult and tragic time. May she rest in peace. She may be gone, but she will never be forgotten.

So many memories of Sue and I and so many of us with her family. She was my best friend in HS. We did so many things together. Sports, classes, life issues, summer jobs, cutting each other’s hair and first boyfriends. All the memories are flooding my head. I remember the summer we worked as camp counselors and the US Open. We had so much fun and met a lot of celebrities too. It was a blast. But most of all I remember us always playing softball with Robyn too. I remember her always yelling at me when I was shortstop and she was first base. “Short! Short! Not so hard!” Otherwise I would forget I wasn’t throwing from left or center home and I’d throw it so hard into her glove it would hurt her hand. We always laughed about it later. She was an amazing person and the most amazing best friend always. I can’t believe she is gone. I know she has left a profound mark in many hearts especially mine. My heart, thoughts and prayers go out to her family at this time. REST IN PEACE with OUR LORD an Angels. They are now in the best company.
