Fiona, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
In all the years we have known you, you have always spoken of your parents with such love, care and concern. It is obvious that you have lost a best friend, but hopefully the memories of all the happier times will bring you comfort as time goes on.
We never met your sweet Dad, but you have spoken of him so often that we “know” him. And he will be missed.

Condolences to the Dumas Family. Prayers for Ruth, Julie and Fiona; Jason and Emmet; Extended Family, cousins and relatives and many friends of the Point Lookout Community.
Jack and Ruth were the model of a loving married couple and a pleasure to spend time with.
Our families spent hours and hours of time together as our daughter Lauren and the girls danced in Irish Step Dancing competitions all over the States, Ireland and Canada. Ruth and Gwen were busy with costumes and hairdo (before they had wigs). Jack and I would be immersed in thick books and endless conversations about nothing and everything, as we waited from 9-5 in a gym, a dance hall or a hotel ballroom waiting for the girls names to be called for their turn. We had great rapport and truly enjoyed the company. He was a great Husband, Father, Brother, Brother-in-law; Uncle, Relative and sincere Friend. He had a special welcoming demeanor and a pleasant way. He was a blessing to all with whom he encountered.
We know he is with the Lord enjoying the reward of his willingness to listen; his dedication to all his students; friendliness to all in the Community and his love of all people.
Rest in Peace, Jack

I have known Jack for nearly 60 years. As a teacher, guidance counselor, co-worker, employer, advisor, friend and, most of all, as North Star. His smile, his good humor and his devotion to Ruth, Fiona, Julie and, of course, Emmet were the hallmarks of his very being. Is there anyone of us who thinks the description of a GOOD MAN is not best fitting of Jack? I think not. I, and thousands of others, will never forget him.
Dear Ruth,
We have received this awful news while in New Hampshire and can not come home until next week but will call you then. Our love to the girls and Emmet.

I remember "Dr." Jack, as most students called him in the mid -70's He was one of the most pleasant and friendliest people I ever knew. Always a big smile on his face. Always wiling to listen and help out. You knew he truly wanted to from the bottom of his huge heart. Got to know him a bit better on the Personal Awareness Conference, weekend retreat upstate in Cuddebackville, NY. Such an impression he made on me, that I remember him very fondly 43 years later and no contact since.
