So many different things come to my mind when I think about Aunt Rosie. Aunt Rosie, was easily like another grandmother figure to me. She was generous, warm-hearted, and the most Christ-like person I've ever known. I have so many fond memories flood my mind, such as the times she chased us rollerblading, and playing basketball in the house while she babysat my siblings and I,(sorry about that one Aunt Ro), sleepovers at her house on the weekends, and the countless phone calls I've made to her for family recipes such as Struffoli and Easter Pie. The greatest memory I have with my Aunt Rosie would have to be my conformation, as she was my conformation sponsor. I remember being 14 years old and remembering the time Aunt Rosie taught me how to pray using the rosary. I then knew, Aunt Rosie was the person I wanted to be my conformation sponsor. The day I got confirmed in the Lord was the most special day for both of us. Aunt Rosie loved to hear me sing, and she was so proud of me when I told her I wanted to become a teacher, and even prouder when I landed my first job teaching fourth grade. I made her laugh telling her stories about my crazy kindergartners the following year. I planned to visit this year, and wish I would have visited earlier. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind she's in heaven looking down on us with Uncle Tommy. I remember after ever phone conversation we had, Aunt Rosie would say "so long" instead of goodbye. So long, Aunt Rosie. I hope heaven is lovely.

I will always remember Aunt Rosie for the beautiful, kind hearted person she is who saw the good in everyone. She called all the time to check up on me when I wasn't well and I will never forget that. My fondest memory of Aunt Rosie and I think of this all the time is when I went to visit when my girls were about 3 and 4 yrs old. She always wanted us to visit. We slept over and in the morning when we woke she and Uncle Tommy had breakfast ready for the girls and I, and I can remember Uncle Tommy saying he kept our breakfast warm for us until we finally emerged from the bedroom. It was so special to be with her at the past few occasions and she would just hold my hand the entire time. Love you Aunt Rosie ♥️

I first met Rose in 2005 when I joined the Donatello Lodge. She was such a helpful and caring person. I worked with her on many committees. And when I took over the financials of the lodge, she was always happy to help me. God bless her - may she rest in peace. Rick Lankewish
