I am shocked to hear that Miss Cahill passed away - even more shocked that she was only 11 years older than me. I remember when Miss Cahill started teaching at Wantagh High School. She was amazing. She was fun, but firm and she knew her stuff. I am sorry about all the students who will not have the chance to be taught by her.

I was very sad to learn of the passing of Miss Cahill. She has been a friend my entire career and was loved by all who knew her. I am a vendor who called on Miss Cahill annually and ended up becoming friends. I just want to say thank you Miss Cahill for the information and the relationship we had over the years. Knowing how you were loved by all who knew you is a great comfort.

Kathy was a close friend. Every hour spent with her was special; her energy, her constant upbeat spirit, her work ethic and her caring for both friends, family and students. She deserved a longer pain-free life. She will be missed by those who loved her.

Ms Cahill was an educator for my three sons at Wantagh HS. She was always full of energy and was always so happy to help. We have moved to North Carolina and just found out the news. Please except our deepest condolences from our whole family. We are all deeply saddened by this news.
