My late mom Ann, was very close to "Aunt Marge" ( she was actually my moms cousin). Mom would talk to Marge on a near nightly basis for many many years prior to her passing in September 2011. Even though they didn't see each other on a regular basis later in life, they didn't let that stop them from talking on the phone...imagine if they knew how to text each other ! The first time I took my wife and two year old daughter Kimberly to visit NY and the Cefalu family, we were sitting around the dining room table in Aunt Marge and Uncle Franks house along with their entire family including the girls and Sal and Janet and their girls and a number of other relatives from the "old " days. Supper was over and the fruits and nuts were spread out and the conversations flowed. I noticed my very reserved wife was laughing uncontrollably. When I inquired what was so funny..I thought I missed a good story...she said " I just counted and they're 7 different conversations going on and they're each talking louder then the next group ! It's so funny !" Keep in mind, she was a southern girl who never ventured further north from Orlando than Atlanta. She loved the family interchange at the table ! I can't thank the Cefalu family for all their hospitality, generosity and love to our family from the 50's on. We love you Aunt Marge !!

Aunt Margaret was my mother Ann’s dearest friend. They knew one another for nearly 80 years. They were each other’s maid of honor at their weddings. I have a lifetime of wonderful memories of my aunt. We spent countless holidays together (she was a great cook) endured the blizzard of 1969 together and were there for one another when times were difficult. As a small child I remember falling asleep to the sounds of all night poker and contract games and a House full of smoke. She was fun, funny and sweet and she could light up a room with the sound of her laughter. The lives of anyone blessed to have known her are diminished today. May she Rest In Peace with her family and friends. And may her good works and kindness be rewarded by our lord and savior. When I learned that her passing was imminent I prayed to my father Lenny that he greet her with a big hug and kiss. That image comforts our family and I hope it comforts Uncle Frank, Sal, Roseanne and Ann Marie as well. With love the Simeti family.
