Tears...tears....tears.....Where do I start ? Such an amazing art teacher. We created so many memories while I was in that school. Memories which I will never forget although it’s been a few years. You pushed me to follow with my art because you said I had so much talent. We made the mural at school and that I would never forget. I’ve struggled through many art projects and you have been there to help me. I really want to thank you for all that you have done and because of you, I have continued working on my art and I really love what I do. You will always be remembered R.I.P

Dear Cilla & Fitch families,
The children of PS 41 have noticed and missed Ms. Cilla this past year. Always wondering when she will be back. She made a great impact on the children and inspired them to create and grow. She was supportive to my son attend art classes outside of school and expressed she would love to attend one of his art exhibit's. Jaiden & Sydney had learned so much from you. You have broaden their minds to another level in the art world. I couldn't believe they knew Starry Night by Van Gogh or art work by Kandinsky (I had to Google search this artist too). You had them looking forward to art class every time. As a mom, you don't want to let your kids know we don't keep all their drawings. I can't tell you how many drawings they did in your class I kept b/c I loved it so much. I will always remember when my son, a kindergartner at the time, brought home his first piece of artwork. It was a beautiful and interesting abstract piece. I was very impressed, and told him so. When I asked what it was supposed to be, he said, "Mom, it's a Kandinsky, don't you know?!" I was floored. Ms. Cilla not only taught my son, she taught me, too, because I quickly had to research the artist just so I could keep up with what my child was learning!
She got my child to do wondrous things and tapped into his imagination in a way that no one has ever done AND she taught a kindergartner (and his mom) about Kandinsky. I will always cherish that memory. I'm so thankful for the amazing talent she shared with my family.
