Obituary

Carl John Fogliano, age 78, of Wantagh passed away on March 28, 2018. He was born to the late John Fogliano and Elena (Tucci) Fogliano of Corona, Queens, NY on March 8, 1940. Carl is lovingly remembered by his wife of 57 years, Francine, his brother John (Lorraine) and his children, Sharon (Robert), Michael (Peggy), and Denise (Anthony). Carl will also be fondly remembered by his eight grandchildren, John, Matthew, Samantha, Luke, Gianna, Joseph, Michael and Olivia. Carl attended Queens College, and he worked for Chase Manhattan Bank in Manhattan for his entire professional career spanning 34 years. He ran the Commercial Real Estate Appraisal unit responsible for 75+ people. He was well respected for his management style, good judgement and balanced approach. He retired in 1995 and became a full time grandfather. Carl was sought after by his family members, friends and co-workers for his opinions and advice. He ran the local little league (Mayfair) before cell phones were available and during his heavy travel years at work. His wife assisted him in running the league, and they also launched the girls’ softball league. Carl and Francine sang in the choir at St. Frances De Chantal Church in Wantagh for over 30 years.
