Nancy A. of North Merrick, passed away February 18, 2018 at the age of 84. A devout Catholic, Nancy battled cancer with grace and fortitude, never ceasing to care for those around her more than herself. Her smile was infectious, her love for her grandchildren & grandpets was boundless, she enjoyed doing the crossword puzzle everyday, and knew that the key to a good meal was to add more salt. Cherished wife of Joseph DeStefano and precious mother of Anne Marie, Susan Reda, Kenneth and Karen Mahoney. Beloved mother-in-law of Joe, Carol and Rob. Adored grandmother of Dominick, Jill, Kaitlyn, Michele, and Joseph. Family will receive friends Tuesday, 2-5 pm and 7-9 pm, & Wednesday, 2-5 pm and 7-9 pm, at the Charles J. O'Shea Funeral Home, 2515 N. Jerusalem Rd. (Exit 25N SS PKWY) East Meadow, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, 10:15 am, at Sacred Heart R.C. Church in North Merrick, NY.
