Ahh, Rich, just when we were starting to get the "band" back together. The Class of '65 at St. John's Prep was a bit of an outlier, wasn't it, yet we reunited 50 years later better than the others.
You'll be remembered at all our gatherings to come, that much is for sure. And there will be a place held for you in all our hearts. Rest in peace, Redman.

I have had the privilege and honor of knowing Rich for several years as I go to Camp Anchor with Tricia. I also got the pleasure of meeting Janice and a friendship was immediately formed. I remember when I first met Ricky at bowling and the great conversations we would have. I also enjoyed our dinner outings and community outings as well. This man was the definition precisely of sainthood as he would do what he could for anyone, and never thought twice for a second. Janice and family you were right there for me when I needed it now it is our turn to be right there. If you need anything at all please do not hesitate to call or to text.
Dear Ricky,
I cannot believe you have left us but I know you are at peace and free of pain and suffering. I promise to be there for your family and live your legacy of charity, and having an open heart. I also know how you loved the surfing at ANCHOR I will be riding for you next week and I will never forget you. Thank you so much for letting me be a small contribution in your wonderful family. I will miss you may perpetual light shine upon you and may you rest in peace. Amen.

Love is not easy to put into words.
Nor is loyalty, or trust, or joy.
But he was all of these.
A witty way with words,
A big personality.
Dance, stickball, math, a passion for sports.
Family first.
The love he had for his family had no beginning nor end.
He lived life intensely.
He loved life completely.
