Marie,
We belatedly learned of Marie’s passing and extend our condolences to her family. Marie was a treasured, enduring friend to my Mother Barbara. Her warmth showed through with every visit and phone call. I appreciate her generosity sharing common memories of time together with her friend. Marie always was first concerned with Barbara, despite her own increasing challenges in later years. We are lucky to have known her.

Marie, I feel like I just saw you sitting across the table at one of our "Thanksgiving Dinners". I will always remember your smile, your thoughtfulness and how much you care about everyone around you. When we saw one another you always asked me about my family and how I was doing, I always appreciated that. I'm looking at a picture of you and I and can't believe I will not get to laugh with you again in this lifetime. You will always be in my heart and mind. A very special lady, who I will miss. I hope you are surrounded by beauty, smiling and dressed up with your matching accessories. Love you and will miss you. xoxox Love Always, Lisa

Please accept my heartfelt sympathy for the loss of your loved one, Marie. It breaks our hearts when death separates us from the ones we love so much. The Bible reminds us that God sees our pain and sadness and has promised that soon, "death will be swallowed up forever."(Isaiah 25:8) He will heal our broken hearts by resurrecting our precious loved ones to life again.(John 6:40) Until then, I hope the beautiful memories of Marie and these promises from God comfort you in the days to come.

When I think of Marie, I will always remember her great smile of welcome and her heartfelt concern for me and my son. I always told her how much she reminded me of my own mother...sweet, loving, a kind word for everyone, and a genuinely kind nature.
I realize that everyone who ever met Marie will say the same thing, and that is how it should be. There are very few people in this world who are beloved by all; Marie is one of those people.

When people say there are no words, I say there are, especially in the case of Marie. Words that come to mind include beautiful, compassionate, loving, caring, loyal, forgiving, and beautiful. I know I said beautiful twice, but the word is too small when describing Marie. We all know that.
I will miss her and how she made me feel that I mattered. In my dark days in 1992, she brought light and loving to me and my family. Without her, I would not be here.
Marie, I love you and you will be in my heart and memories forever. Anytime I feel down, I will think of you and remember the times playing Trivial Pursuit with our friends from TDK and sharing some laughs together.
Shine on Marie. You mattered! More than you will ever know.

This is come as such a shock to me. I am so saddened. Maria was one of the most fun loving, sweet, people you would ever want to know. I remember when she got the apt. in East Meadow around the corner from my brother's friend. She had borrowed a table from one of my friends who worked with her, Jane's boyfriend was moving to VA and lent her a small table and chairs he was not going to need at the time, she had us to dinner as a thank you. I also remember when she finally got her little co-op in the sr. complex in East Meadow, and she was in the Newsday on the front cover with the story on how she was able to buy it. I did not know anything about this process and she walked me through everything. Unfortunately I was unable to get a small apt. like hers which was all I wanted so I gave up. She was always talking about her boys, she was so proud. I loved working with her she brought such sunshine to the office and all the people around her. We all have an Angle looking down on us. Marie you will be missed.
