God brings special people into your life for a reason.. whether it's to teach, guide, support or love, they leave an impression that will forever change your life for the better. Sonny ("Papa") was such an individual.
Anne, you and Sonny accepted Kaitlyn and I into your family, and treated her as one of your own grandchildren. You were there for all the important milestones in our lives, and stand in for our loved ones who have passed and unable to physically attend. You thought of us at every Birthday and holiday.
Papa's stories and traditions have shaped those that he's touched in many ways. When Kaitlyn sees the moon, she still says "I see the moon first", and that's from Papa.
Danielle, Lauren and Juliana.. thanks for sharing your Papa with Kaitlyn. Sue and Trish.. thanks for sharing your parents with me.
When I think of my dad, I think of the moon. Now, when I think of the moon, I will think of both our dads.
