Obituary

REILLY - James Lyons, 66, died at Mercy Hospital, Rockville Center, New York on March 30, 2017. A Long Islander all his life, Jim was born in Merrick to Joseph and Patricia (nee Lyons). He grew up in Mineola before settling in Levittown in 1983 to raise his family. He was still a resident of Levittown at the time of his death. Beloved father of Michael Conor and Michael’s wife, Hajeong Lim, Christopher Lyons, and Patricia Mary. Jim lived a full, generous, and productive life, giving to others at every opportunity. His pride in his children was limitless. Jim’s loss is mourned by Maryann Reilly (the mother of their children), and his loving brothers and sisters, Judith Reilly, Liza Reilly, Joseph Reilly and his wife Kate, Christine and Henry Petersen, Gina Reilly and her husband, Neal Brickman, many cousins, nieces, nephews, and countless dear friends, all of whom are eternally grateful to have had Jim in their lives. Jim loved his work, was an avid golfer (especially with his loving and devoted cousin, Patrick Lyons), a horseracing enthusiast, and always enjoyed the ocean. A wake will be held for Jim Sunday April 2, 2017, 2-5 pm and 7-9 pm, at the Charles J. O’Shea Funeral Homes 603 Wantagh Avenue (Exit 28N SS PKWY) Wantagh, NY.
