Jill LaRocca, 88, of Wantagh NY and formerly of Huntington NY, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2016. Jill was a loving wife, mother and friend. She is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, James J. LaRocca of Wantagh. Jill was a much beloved mother to her three children, Susan, Jim and Rich LaRocca. She graduated from SUNY Cortland, and earned a Masters in Education from Hofstra University. As an elementary school teacher in the Valley Stream, East Meadow and Wantagh school systems, she helped mold many young lives. Her warm heart and good humor will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her. Jill is survived by her daughter, Susan LaRocca, son Jim LaRocca and his wife Susan, and son Rich LaRocca.
