To Greg's family: I only recently learned of Greg's death in the '59 class notes of Xavier High School. Please accept my condolences. I did not know of his outstanding career in medicine at NYU. What a wonderful legacy of helping others he leaves behind! My memories are of the years I spent with him at Xavier, all of them fond; especially our class trips out to his home at Point Lookout, and there, playing softball with our homeroom teacher, Fr. Tom Hession, S.J. May he now rest in God's peace.

I was sorry to hear of Greg's passing. Greg sponsored me early in my PhD at Cardiac surgery after moving from Plastic Surgery after my PhD. He and I had our differences but he was always willing to listen and helped launch my career. I ran into him on 33rd street years later and we were going to catch up. I'm sorry to find out so late it is now too late.
