Rosanna, Paula, Vincent and Louisa,
Over the years of our friendship, Rosanna has told many stories about all of you and your parents and the wonderful family life you have shared. Told with her usual lively flare, I was always entertained and also impressed by the amazing bond you all share. I can imagine how hard it's been already to be without your mother, especially for your Dad. My deepest sympathy to my friends Luisa and her family. I have so many happy memories of Mrs. Nappo, she was always smiling and full of love. Maybe you saw the poem below, maybe not, but it was sent to me after my mom died and I kept it all these years. It gave me comfort and I wish the same for you:
God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be,
so He put his arms around you and he whispered "Come to me"'
The Golden Gates stood open. God knew you needed rest,
His garden must be beautiful, for He only takes the best.
It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone,
for part of us went with you, the day God called you home.
Sending my prayers for everyone from Florida, especially during the mass today.
