Nick, My wife and I went to dinner last night with another couple that grew up in East Meadow and your name came up. I grew up around the corner from Nick. One thing about Nick, before he could come out to play he had to get his homework done. We were the two pitchers on the St. Raphael’s baseball team. We lost touch, but I cherish the school years we had together. Rest In Peace Nick.

I can still picture the glow of your cigarette from your lawn chair as you sat on the driveway with a budweiser in the still of the night...and for some years accompanied by 'Spooky'...I can hear you saying, 'Save it for the typewriter, Eddie!'. I'm sure where you are now is better then some of the places you have been, even Nova Scotia. I would send you flowers, but I know you would rather I spent my money on buying you a few cold ones, consider it done. Rest in piece.
