Mr. Leistman was born June 5, 1950 in Brooklyn, NY. He is the son of the late William and the late Frances (Karp) Leistman. Beloved husband of Lori. Devoted father of William and Jason. Dear sister of Marion. He served in the Army during the Vietnam war from 6/9/1971 to 6/3/1974 and awarded the National Defense Service Medal and the German Marksman Award. A Mass of Christian burial to celebrate his life will be held 11:00 am on Saturday, December 26, 2015 at St. Raphael's Roman Catholic Church East Meadow, NY.
