Mrs. Taggart was born May 30, 1926 in Brooklyn, NY. She is the daughter of the late John and the late Mary (Byrne) Bracken. Beloved wife of the late Edward. Devoted mother of Joan McCook (late Gary), Maureen Guarino (late Robert), Peggy Mahoney (Daniel), Thomas (Lisa), Robert (Diane), the late Daniel, the late Joseph, and the late Edward. Loving grandmother of 11, great grandmother of 12 and great great grandmother of 1. Visitation hours will be Wednesday, December 2 from 2 - 5 & 7 - 9 pm at Charles J. O'Shea Funeral Homes, Inc., 603 Wantagh Ave., Wantagh, NY. A Mass of Christian burial to celebrate her life will be held 10:00 am on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at St. Bernard RC Church, 3100 Hempstead Tkp., Levittown, NY with interment to follow in Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton on Thursday, December 3 at 12:00 pm.
