Even though I haven't been close to Chris in a while, he was and will always remain such an important part of my childhood and my heart. When his family helped a single mom by being there to babysit her 2 small children, those children ended up with a pretty great experience in a rough time in their life. I will always be thankful for the many memories I have of Ricky and Chris growing up with us. There are so many that have come flooding back to me this week. I am so lucky that I got to spend those years of our childhood with them as my friends. This news was heartbreaking and I am sad that I didn't get the chance to reconnect with him as an adult. Heaven has gained an angel and just do us a favor and watch over the rest of us. You will forever be missed and my heart aches for the family you are leaving behind. I will always love you and remember you with such fond and happy memories.

This is a heart felt loss! I have not seen you since you left Fl. But, that does not mean you did not have a piece of my heart. You had a way of bring a smile to everyone face! My kids spent so much time with you and your brother when you all were younger. So many memories to look back on. May God take you in his arms and welcome you! For you are one of his newest Angles!

What I will remember is his huge hugs. I will remember that he would never let you be without a hug and a cheery heartfelt hello, for more than a few seconds upon entering a room. He always came right over to say hello.

I will remember him as a caring, happy to help his family type of guy. He loved family gatherings, maybe it made his pain fade just a little. He loved his little/younger cousins, just as I loved him (my little/younger cousin). He tried so hard to be loved and to fit in, where in my eyes her really didn't have to try at all because he did fit in and he was loved by all. I hope he is free at last, not hurting, not suffering. Fly high my lil cuz, I hope you are reunited with your Dad, Mom, Granma and Grampa (yes I know I spelt them wrong but this is how I say their titles). Go to them, be with them, as they too love you. Do your favorite "This Guy" pose because "This Guy" is now free from pain and hurt. Go see your Mom as maybe she can comfort you my blood. If not run into the open arms of Granma and Grampa, as they always emitted love and acceptance. I will miss you like many, and I just hope you know how much I and we loved you.

I lite this candle for you, Chris, to help you find your way. I wish things were different t, I wish you could have been saved. My hope for you now is for you to find your Father and get the time to spend with him that you never had. You're going to love him! Growing up with you and Ricky are memories that I will never forget. From pool parties, to sleepovers, to getting in trouble all the time for jumping on the beds and running through the halls. I'd give anything to have those days back again. I'm thankful that you got to meet the whole family and spend the time you did with them. They were able to find out how amazing you are. A kind soul with a beautiful heart and contagious laugh, not to mention that handsome Mayotte look. Fly high Christopher, you're above it all now. Watch over the rest of us. I love you little cousin. Rest in peace.

My cousin Christopher became like a second little brother to me in the past few years. He was a very sweet and funny kid who was a total pain in the butt sometimes - but I loved him dearly! The year we worked together was a good year for him. I saw a huge ray of light within him for a while. We also got to spend a lot of "family" time together at birthdays and holidays - so I have some great memories to carry me through this sad time.
