There were few who could compare to Connie. I feel very blessed that I was able to get to know her. Even though I met Connie in the context of being one of her home care therapists, it never felt like a "job" to see her. I always looked forward to it. She was such a warm, welcoming, funny, generous person. I will remember Connie fondly and honor the memory of getting to know her.
She loved and appreciated her family very much. She would tell me about her husband, her kids, her grandkids, her son-in-laws, and her friends-all with a big smile on her face. She did truly appreciate how dedicated her family was to her well-being.
I used to love hearing her stories about growing up in a big Italian family in Brooklyn. She had a great way of telling a story! For every situation we would talk about (and we would definately talk a lot!), she had a great story to share. I would always be sure to schedule an extra 1/2 after her session was over because we would talk so much! I will always cherish the conversations that we had and the advice on "life" she gave me. She gave me a lot of encouragement and words of wisdom to my own life which I will always appreciate and will never forget.
I know it must be so difficult for all of you, and I can't imagine what you are going through as a family. I want to offer my deepest condolences.
May your heart and soul find peace and comfort in loving memories. She will live on in our memories forever. Peace, Prayers and Blessings to you all.
