To the Family of Carlo DeGore, Jr.:
I am writing you today to offer my condolences for the lost of your dear loved one, Carlo. I too have recently lost three dear loved ones in an 18 month period. It seems unfair that death should have the power to take away someone you love. The Bible at Ecclesiastes 3:11 says, “…… He (God) has even put eternity in their (mankind’s) heart.” Thus explains man’s quest for the fountain of youth. While mankind was not created to experience death, because of Adam and Eve’s rebellion against God, we all grow old, get sick and die. (Romans 5:12) The Bible, however, repeatedly speaks about the elimination of death and God’s promise of everlasting life. Notice the following comforting scriptures:
• “He (God) will swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears
from all faces.”—Isaiah 25:8.
• “I have hope toward God….that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the
unrighteous.”—John 5:28, 29.
• “This is the will of my Father, that everyone who recognizes the Son and exercises faith in him should
have everlasting life.”—John 6:40.
• “The last enemy, death, is to be brought to nothing.”—1 Corinthians 15:26.
• “[We have the] hope of the everlasting life that God, who cannot lie, promised long ago.”—Titus 1:2.
• “He will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more.”—Revelation 21:4.
Yes, in the very near future, death will be no more! If you would like to learn more, please do not hesitate to contact me at 516.375-0687 or log onto www.jw.org. May the God of comfort hear your prayers and comfort you during this time!
Sincerely yours,
Robyn
