I was close friends with Carol when we were in junior high, and I got to know the Manoni Family. Mrs. Manoni was a lovely, kind lady and I will always remember all of you. Once she included me on a shopping trip to the city; I think it was Canal Street, so that we could buy stuff we needed for the new school year. It was a fun shopping experience. She helped me purchase a pearl necklace for my Grandma's birthday and lent me money when I ran out. Occasionally, she'd put the top down in her car when she drove Carol & I around. She was a great Italian cook, and I'm Carol learned her wonderful recipes. I am saddened to hear of her passing, along with your Dad's, but this is the time in our lives when our parents are aging.
