Anne was an adored aunt to many nieces and nephews and a cherished friend. Anne (known to her family as Nancy) was born in New York City on June 6, 1928. Shortly after graduating from Cathedral High School in 1946, she met the love of her life, Dan, and they spent 74 wonderful years together. Anne was a devoted mother who prioritized education. Anne supported her children in their academic and athletic endeavors, never missing a school ceremony, sporting event, cheering competition, or a dance recital. Anne was an active parishioner of Sacred Heart Church in North Merrick for 67 years. She volunteered at Sacred Heart School, was a member of Catholic Daughters, Rosary Society, and assisted with various parish activities. Anne was extremely proud and fulfilled by the years of service she provided to Chaminade High School including serving as President of the Chaminade Mother's Club and a chairperson of the Founder's Day Dinner. Once her children were grown, she joined the workforce and spent 10 productive years at Avis Rental Car. After Anne retired, she and Dan enjoyed traveling around the world with family members. Anne truly cherished the time with her grandchildren, and she developed special and unique bonds with each of them. Becoming a great-grandmother gave Anne joy later in life. Anne will be truly missed by her family, friend Jane O'Keefe, community and church. Family will receive friends Tuesday, 2 pm – 4 pm and 7 pm and 9 pm, at the Charles J. O’Shea Funeral Homes, 2515 N. Jerusalem Rd. (Exit 25N SS PKWY) East Meadow, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, 10 am, at Sacred Heart R.C. Church in N. Merrick, NY. Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery in Queens, NY.
