Obituary

Patrick M. Tirino, “Pat,” 68, passed peacefully on 19th January 2021, after a long battle with kidney failure and coronary disease. Pat was born on the 17th of August 1952 in Brooklyn, New York, to Pauline (Lombardo) and Nicholas Tirino. He was raised in Richmond Hill, Queens, NY. Pat graduated Richmond Hill High School in 1970 and went on to work for Consolidated Edison and NRG for 44 years. Pat was a Boy Scout in Troop 28, where he was a bugler and developed friendships for life. He enjoyed long talks with his son and daughter, fishing, taking walks in Wantagh Park, Star Trek, and old television shows. Pat’s proudest moment was when his son Patrick Anthony Tirino joined the NYPD. Pat was a very quiet man, but his words spoke volumes. He went through so much for so long, but always did it with dignity and never complained. He was a true family man who loved his family and worked tirelessly for all their wants and needs. Pat was loved by everyone who knew him. Pat leaves behind his devoted wife of 32 years Assunta (Susan) Chiaramonte Tirino, and two children: Jamie Tirino Back and Patrick Anthony Tirino, along with two grandchildren: Kaitlyn Back and Ryan Back. Pat also leaves behind his brother Frank J. Tirino, his sister-in-law Deborah J Tirino, and their children Nicole Tirino Pinto and Frank Tirino, Jr, as well as his predeceased brother Nicholas Tirino, Jr.
