Obituary

With profound sadness we announce the passing of our loving and devoted mother and Grammy. She left this world on April 15, 2020, but in all honesty, will never leave any of us. Evelyn was born to Evelyn Jacobsen and John Mullin on August 3, 1934. She was raised in Brooklyn together with her 2 sisters Jeannette (Michael Antonucci), pre-deceased, and Joann (James Rogers). She will be lovingly remembered by her many wonderful nieces and nephews. Evelyn met her “Unforgettable,” Robert “Grampy” Gengenbach and they married on May 7,1955. Together they raised four practically perfect daughters: Lynn(Alan Brey), Lori (Larry Stehl), Ellen (Jimmy Cariddi), and Eileen (Tony Hefferon). Her life was one filled with the purest of love and the gentleness of presence. The greatest treasures to our Grammy were her 9 grandchildren. Everything that was done for her and with her was done in love with her grandchildren. Whether it be birthday dinners, holiday game night, trips to Disney, dance parties in the kitchen, walking the golf course, singing songs around a summer campfire or a Mother’s Day planting party, Grammy experienced it all with her greatest of gifts: her grandchildren and their loves- LT & Brooke, Olivia & Danny, Kurt & Amanda, Shaylyn, Hannah & Jaime, Kyle, Amelia & Ethan, Bobby, and Emma. Our mother lived a simple life, however it was grand in so many ways. Her legacy of family will forever be intertwined in all of us. She was our Queen and her crown of jewels will forever shine down on all of us. We know her light will continue to shine and radiate her loving energy on us for all the days of our lives
