Eduardo Ramirez was married for 61 years to Miriam with whom he shared a special bond. An electrician by trade, he retired as a Signal Maintainer from the NYC Metropolitan Transit Authority after 30 years of service. He continued enjoying work by serving the children of Variety Preschool in Syosset. He also served for 6 years in the Navy as a young man. He was a beloved devoted husband, father, grandfather, relative, and friend. Known affectionately as ‘Super Abuelo’ and ‘Uncle Eddie’, he loved spending time with his grandkids, family, and friends. He loved to dance, share jokes, and tell stories. He enjoyed fishing and bird watching. He was curious, full of life, neighborly, and connected to boyhood friends. He kept a special place in his heart for everyone and everything connected to Puerto Rico, his ancestral home. He carried with him the borinqueños reverence of sun and sky, land and sea. May he rest in peace.
