John W. Murray January 19, 1935 – June 4, 2025 It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of John W. Murray on June 4, 2025, at the age of 90. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and uncle, John was the heart of our family and will be profoundly missed. Born on January 19, 1935, John was the youngest of 12 children. He proudly served as a firefighter with the FDNY, Engine Company 302 in Queens, New York, where he dedicated his life to protecting others until his retirement. John was a man of deep Catholic faith, unwavering devotion to his family, and an enduring sense of humor that brightened every room he entered. He was an enthusiastic Mets fan, an avid bowler, and a storyteller whose laughter was contagious and spirit unforgettable. John is survived by his beloved wife, Margaret Murray; their seven children; 20 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. His legacy of love, laughter, and loyalty lives on in all of them. Though he has left this world, John will remain always in our hearts — a true example of strength, kindness, and joyful resilience.
