Arthur W. Sperr of East Meadow, NY, passed away on April 21, 2025 at the age of 85. Beloved husband of Phyllis. Loving father of Steven Sperr (Valerie) and Susan Cusumano (Christopher). Cherished grandfather of Kaitlyn, Jessica, Deanna, Ryan, Sophia, and William. Arthur was a firefighter down to his bones. His life-long volunteer service began with the five years he spent with Hempstead Fire Department before transferring to his permanent home in Engine 2 East Meadow. He held many ranks throughout his 61 years, proudly holding the title of Chief. When he was not at the fire house, you could find him upstate at the family vacation spot, practicing farming and being a friend to all. We will miss him forever. Family will receive friends Saturday from 12 pm – 4 pm, at Charles J. O’Shea Funeral Home, 2515 N. Jerusalem Rd. (Exit 25N SS PKWY) East Meadow, NY.
