Edward A. Jacoby, passed away peacefully at the age of 89, surrounded by those he loved. A cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Edward’s life was marked by a deep sense of devotion, service, and love.
Edward, starting his career in the Mounted Police Unit was a devoted New York City Police Officer for 21 years, serving his community with unwavering commitment and strength. His courage, integrity, and sense of duty were evident in everything he did, leaving a lasting impact on all who crossed his path. After retiring, he continued to be a guiding presence for his family and friends, offering wisdom, laughter, and love that will be remembered forever.
He was a beloved husband to Barbara, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and memories. As a father, Edward was a pillar of support for his children—Edward, Daniel, John, Thomas, and Barbara—instilling in them values of hard work, respect, and kindness. His legacy lives on in his grandchildren—John Edward, Sean, Kevin, Thomas Magnus, Jenny, Luke, Nicolette, Nicholas, and Sabrina. Though they mourn the loss of their dear grandfather, they carry forward the lessons and love he imparted. Predeceased by his grandsons, Jake and Christopher, whose memories will forever be a part of his spirit.
His presence was a steadying force in the lives of those who knew him, and his memory will forever be etched in the hearts of his family, friends, and all those who were fortunate enough to witness his kindness.
