Obituary
Virginia Dauro, of Merrick, New York, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2025, at the age of 95.
Born on October 4, 1929, Virginia shared a long and devoted marriage with the late John Patrick Dauro. They were married on October 5, 1947, and together created a life rooted in love, family, and tradition.
Virginia was the beloved mother of four children: the late Nicolina Dauro, Bernadette Furman (Robert), Andrew Dauro (Mary), and Lisa Mascitelli (Steven). She was a treasured grandmother to six: Andrew Dauro Jr. (Michelle), John Dauro (Catherine), Frank Dauro (Daniel), Nicole Lewis (Neil), John Mascitelli, and Sara Mascitelli. Her legacy continues through eight adored great-grandchildren: Andrew the III, Addison, Dominic, Tessa, Ginny, William, Michael, and Diana.
A talented seamstress by trade, Virginia’s creativity extended far beyond the sewing table. She found pure joy in the kitchen, where her Sunday sauce, pancakes, and Christmas cookies became cherished traditions that brought generations of her family together. Her greatest happiness came from the simple, meaningful moments spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Virginia’s warmth, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family left a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those she loved so dearly.
