Obituary
Thomas Joseph McGann, Jr. was born to Thomas McGann, Sr. and Anne (Nancy) McGann on May 17, 1956 in New York. Tom was raised on Long Island with his 4 siblings, of whom he was second youngest. Tom went to Chaminade High School and College of the Holy Cross where he studied economics.
Tom worked for over 40 years in finance. He met his wife, Denise McGann, at Long Island Trust. Together, they raised four children on Long Island. Tom was ecstatic to retire at the age of 64 so that he and Denise could spend more time traveling, snow-birding in Florida, and seeing their family. Tom loved golf, music, his beautiful wife Denise and their family, and most of all, he loved a good time. While he was often a man of few words, he made sure to always enjoy every experience.
Tom passed unexpectedly on February 18, 2025 at 68 years young. He spent his final day on Earth with the love of his life: going to the beach, and out to their favorite restaurant for dinner and drinks. Tom graciously donated his organs, saving 3 lives and helping dozens of others.
Tom is survived by his wife, Denise; their four children: Tommy, Carolyn, Kelly, and Brian; three children-in-law; four grandchildren who adored their ‘Papa’; and his siblings.
Always happy days.
