My deepest condolences to Tom's family on his unexpected and sad passing. It is nice to know that he has left you as his legacy and that you will have each other for support going forward in this life. Knowing Tom, I am sure that you will carry his memory fondly and forever smile when he is in mind. I was a classmate and friend of Tom at both St. Thomas and Chaminade. Just last summer we shared a phone conversation about the days of our grammar school friendship, days that were the happiest of my boyhood. Tom was and is a key part of my good memories for his kindness, easy laugh and gentle demeanor. It is not hard for me to imagine that he lead an explary life and was surrounded by love. May Tom rest in peace.

Tom and I went to Chaminade together where we both played basketball and then, along with two other classmates from the outstanding class of '74, attended Holy Cross where Tom and I rowed crew together for three years. Tom (who was much smarter than me) took college courses through the Chaminade Fast program and thus graduated HC in three years. It was freshman year speaking with Tom on the steps of Dinand library (we certainly were not inside the library) when Tom came up with the idea for us to try out for crew and I am so glad we did. We reconnected in a meaningful way the last couple of years - driving up to Cross together for reunions, football games, local HC and Chaminade gatherings, serving on the 50th reunion Chaminade committee last year and playing golf. Was looking forward to many more times with Tom on the links sharing memories and laughs. Speaking with Patty (Espo) Ryan about Tom she mentioned the perfect word to describe Tom - authentic. Tom was a man of few words but could funny as hell. He was as solid and genuine as they come He will be dearly missed by all who have had the pleasure to know him. .

Tom and I worked together in the Marine Midland Bank shipping group many years ago. Hard-working and conscientious, but also a lot of fun. In short, he was the ideal colleague.
My most sincere condolences to Tom’s wife and family.

I’m so very sorry for your enormous loss. I graduated with Tom from Chaminade in 1974. We played a lot of basketball together back in the day which was how we got to know one another. Beyond being a great competitor Tom was a wonderful person. No drama, no malice, no bad vibes. Tom had the ability to put anyone at ease in his presence. I always enjoyed spending time with him in high school. A great guy then and I have no doubt he was a great guy throughout his life.

My heartfelt condolences to Tom's family. I am so glad I had some moments to reconnect with Tom at Chaminade's 50th reunion. I have lived in California since 1981 and I wish we had an opportunity to know each other better over the years. But we have to appreciate the moments we get to have with good people. In the end, it's never enough, is it?
God be with you all.

Dear McGann family;
I am shocked to hear of Tom's sudden passing. We went to St. Thomas and Chaminade together but lost touch for many years, Tom's name fondly came up occasionally after I discovered that my next door neighbor in NJ was brother Frank's college roommate. After many years, Tom reached out to me via phone, when he found out I was living in Florida in the next town over from Lake Worth. Although we promised to get together, unfortunately we never did.
May he rest in peace.

Denise and Family,
Our hearts are broken forever. We just had dinner together a short while ago and spoke of the fun times together. Tom and I met in kindergarten and went to grammar school and high school together. Tom, Phil, Jeff and I were the four musketeers for life. You have patiently listened to our stories for decades. His sudden loss is a nightmare for all of us. Tom and you were the family we chose and we are still all together in our memories.
Love always, Nancy and Scott Guardino
