Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Rolando O. Paulino, 85, of Seaford, NY, announce his passing surrounded by his family, on Friday, February 7, 2025. Born in Malolos and raised in Bustos, Bulacan, Philippines, on January 4, 1940, Rolando was the son of the late Lorenzo and Patrocinio (Oloroso) Paulino. Rolando (Rolan, Ando, Paul) was a resident of New York and Florida after immigrating to America in 1993. He took up architecture in college but he was an engineer by trade. Before retiring, he worked in two prestressed concrete companies in the Philippines and construction and testing lab in Long Island, NY. He was first and foremost a dedicated father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a man of few words but when he spoke he always made people laugh. He loved to go to the parks with my mom and loved to watch all kinds of sports. He always had words of wisdom. Rolando is predeceased by his wife Leni, and survived by her children, Cecilia Paulino of New York, NY, Elenita Milardo and her husband Frank Milardo of Meriden, CT, Rolando Paulino Jr. and his wife Hazel (Repuyan) Paulino of Seaford, NY, Gerard Paulino and his wife Teema (Lavarez) Paulino of North Bellmore, NY, and predeceased by son Raymund Paulino of Manila, Philippines. Rolando also leaves behind six loving grandchildren, Liana Layug, Nathaneal and Isabelle Paulino, Stephanie Palomata, Nastasha and Eliza Paulino and three great-grandchildren, Gab Palomata, and Saab and Soleil Brugada. Rolando is survived by his sister Marilou Amistoso and predeceased by his sister Lorceli Inumerable and brothers Rogelio, Lorenzo Jr., Antonio and Rey Paulino. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.
